Post-wise qualifications

Project Scientist -III

• Master’s degree in Science (various relevant specializations) with at least 60% marks OR Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology in related disciplines. Seven years of relevant experience in Doppler Weather Radars, radiometers, or NWP model experience.

Project Scientist -II

• Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology (Atmospheric/Civil/Environmental related fields) OR Master’s degree in Science with relevant subjects with at least 60% marks, plus three years of relevant experience in Earth Sciences, air quality modelling, satellite data analysis, and related areas. Degree in Engineering/Technology with 60% marks or MS in interdisciplinary studies, or Doctoral Degree in Science may be considered.

Project Scientist- I

• Master’s degree in Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology/Physics/Geophysics/Mathematics with at least 60% marks or Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering/Technology with the required marks.

Project Manager

• Ph.D. in Ocean Sciences/Atmospheric Sciences/Meteorology/Marine Sciences/Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/Environmental Science. Minimum 20 years of experience in the relevant field.

Executive Head, IMPO

• Ph.D. in Ocean/Atmospheric/Physics/Mathematics. Minimum 10 years of project management experience.

Section Officer

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years administrative/Accounts/purchase & stores experience (minimum 3 years in a supervisory grade).

Upper Division Clerk

• Bachelor’s degree, English typing at 30 w.p.m., computer knowledge, and 5 years of administration/Accounts experience in a government organization.
