BHU Recruitment 2025: Apply Online for 55 PGT, TGT and More Posts

Age limits (as on 05-01-2026)

• Principal: 35-55 years
• PGT: Maximum 40 years
• TGT: Maximum 35 years
• PRT: Maximum 30 years Relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Eligibility by post

• Principal: Master’s Degree with at least 50% marks, B.Ed., and relevant experience; Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
• PGT (Postgraduate Teacher): Master’s Degree with at least 50% in the concerned subject, B.Ed., proficiency in Hindi and English (SRSV: Hindi & Sanskrit), Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
• TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher): Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% in the concerned subjects/combination, B.Ed., CTET, proficiency in Hindi & English (SRSV: Hindi & Sanskrit), Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
• PRT (Primary Teacher): Senior Secondary (≥50%), 2-year D.El.Ed./4-year B.El.Ed./2-year Diploma in Special Education, CTET, proficiency in Hindi & English (SRSV: Hindi & Sanskrit), Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

• Last Date for Online Application & Fee: 05-01-2026 (up to 5:00 p.m.)
• Last Date for Submission of Hard Copy: 10-01-2026 (up to 5:00 p.m.)

Application Fees

• Group A Posts (Principal): ₹1,000 (UR/EWS/OBC)
• Group B Posts (PGT/TGT/PRT): ₹500 (UR/EWS/OBC)
• No fee for SC/ST/PwBD and Women candidates.

• Register, fill the application, upload photo & signature, and pay the fee (if applicable).
• Take a printout of the filled application and send the hard copy with all enclosures to the Registrar, Recruitment & Assessment Cell, Holkar House, BHU, Varanasi-221005, latest by 10-01-2026.
